Action is necessary
to reduce European vulnerability to climate change.
On April 1st
2009 the EU Commission presented a white paper on adapting to
climate change with measures to ensure EU resilience toward the
climate change. The white paper will be supplemented by actions in
the EU member states and support the international efforts on
adapting to climate change. Three discussion papers on the sector
based approach to adaptation in regard to agriculture, health and
water, coasts and marine issues have been presented along with
the white paper.
