The Ministry of

Ministry of Climate and Energy holds a vision of:

efficient energy supply, ready to counter the challenges of the
inevitable climate changes"
Ministerial
Responsibility
In
realising its vision, the Ministry of Climate and Energy is working
to address challenges, which are of paramount importance to
society, in an all embracing, coherent manner.
1. Energy Supply and Efficiency
The
Ministry is working to provide a stable, sustainable and efficient
production, distribution and use of energy throughout Danish
society.
2. Mitigation of and Adaptation to Climate Change
The
Ministry is working to mitigate climate change by reducing
greenhouse gas emissions, both at the national and international
level, as well as providing an enabling environment for Danish
society to adapt to the adverse effects of climate change.
3. Knowledge and Research
Attending
to Denmark’s climate and energy policies requires cutting-edge
knowledge and approaches, and therefore research and development
are key instruments for the Ministry’s work.
4. Public Outreach and Services
As a
public authority, the Ministry of Climate and Energy gives advice
and provides services to citizens, enterprises and public
institutions.
5. An Organisation that can Deliver
In
achieving our goals and delivering benefits to society regarding
energy supply and efficiency, mitigation of and adaptation to
climate change, knowledge and research as well as public outreach
