Internal Energy Market
Internal Energy Market
22-12-2011
One of the EU’s most important milestones is to ensure a true internal energy market for the benefit of consumers and businesses in the EU.
However, there is a need for revising and strengthening the current common rules, as they do not sufficiently support the development of a properly functioning internal energy market.
The following links provide more information about the European Commission’s action plan for
energy security
, its proposals for deregulating electricity and gas markets in the
third deregulation package
, as well as the plans to expand
the energy infrastructure
in the EU, as called for in the third deregulation package.
