The Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU

15-12-2011

For the first six months of 2012, Denmark will hold the presidency of the Council of the European Union. During the presidency, the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Building will focus on EU climate and energy policy.

Denmark assumes the six-month rotating EU presidency on 1 January 2012. Ensuring the success of the presidency will require the efforts of the entire administration. Minister for Climate, Energy and Building Martin Lidegaard will play an important role during the presidency when he leads climate and energy negotiations involving the 27 member states.

Throughout the presidency, the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Building will keep you up-to-date with the latest developments in the climate and energy agenda. Refer to the ministry’s website for the latest news, press releases and planned events. The website will also have an updated schedule of the Minister’s EU-related activities.
