In realising its vision, the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Building is working to address challenges, which are of paramount importance to society, in an all embracing, coherent manner.
1. Energy Supply and Efficiency
The Ministry is working to provide a stable, sustainable and efficient production, distribution and use of energy throughout Danish society.
2. Mitigation of and Adaptation to Climate Change
The Ministry is working to mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, both at the national and international level, as well as providing an enabling environment for Danish society to adapt to the adverse effects of climate change.

Attending to Denmark’s climate and energy policies requires cutting-edge knowledge and approaches, and therefore research and development are key instruments for the Ministry’s work.
